Curb Appeal Does your house have curb appeal? Can we give it a little more pizzazz to draw the buyer in? Would a bit of touch-up paint add dollars to the sale? What about the landscaping? Is the lawn in order and neatly edged? Are trees and bushes neatly pruned? Are flowers in bloom? If not, it may be time for a landscape upgrade. Adding some colorful flowers at the home's entrance could make a big difference. Remember, creating curb appeal will add dollars to your house's final selling price.
Curb Appeal Checklist >
Welcome Home When we walk in the door of your home, we ask, "Will this house say, 'Welcome home' to a buyer?" Looking through the eyes of a buyer, we will recommend changes that will enhance sales appeal.
We'll recommend that you eliminate anything that gives the appearance of clutter. Countertops should be free and clear, excessive knickknacks, souvenirs, and refrigerator artwork should be removed. The home should be neat and tidy so a potential buyer can envison living there.
We will review your home room-by-room, making only recommendations that might impact the sale, such as too much furniture in a room or carpet that may need to be updated. Very small improvements can add significant value to a home and help to sell it quickly. Even if you don't have the budget to do any upgrades, having a clean, tidy home is one of the best ways to welcome a potential buyer.
Staging Checklist >
Setting the Stage Before the first buyer walks in the door, there are small pleasantries that can be done to enhance the home's setting. We want to engage the buyer's senses and find that lighting is critical. We'll draw back curtains, open blinds, turn on lights where needed to welcome the buyer. Music playing lightly in the background and a pleasing aroma throughout the home are other suggestions to make your home appealing to a potential buyer. |
